Sweet Summer Nights

A new release from Peter Cupples.

This is the first album in three years for Peter.

Sweet Summer Nights is somewhat of a concept album, at least musically speaking.

This record is a very different sounding one to previous albums from Peter, it is very percussive driven, featuring acoustic guitar, light orchestration, organic instruments like pan flutes etc..

This record has no real drums, electric guitar or synthesizer.

The album features new songs, some reworked old songs and four original arrangements of some timeless classics, like Hallelujah and Solid Rock, the song Sweet Summer Nights was featured on the 1981 ‘Fear of Thunder’ album, a song Peter wrote sitting on the ninety mile beach at his home in Woodside Gippsland. 

The band assembled for the launch of this album features: David Jones, Darryn Farrugia, Robyn Payne, Scott Griffiths and Paula Reid, Yes! Jones and Farrugia two of the worlds greatest drummer/percussionists along with Paula on congers will deliver the energy and excitement this album contains.
