Bachelor Girl is one of the most successful and most loved Australian acts of the 90’s and early 2000’s, enjoying international acclaim particularly in Asia, Scandinavia and the U.S. (including signing with Clive Davis at Arista Records). Standing out with their exceptional songwriting and Tania’s warm, powerhouse vocal, APRA recently reported a massive achievement for the band - their hit single “Buses and Trains” being the most played Australian composition on Australian radio in the last 25 years.
The last two years has seen a welcomed return for the band, including record releases and live gigs, including ‘A Day On The Green’ with legends John Farnham, Daryl Braithwaite, Richard Marx and Russell Morris. Tania and James’ hit studded, dynamic shows have won them special guest spots with Icehouse, their own headline tour, and more intimate, story telling acoustic sets around the country. Following their most recent and socially conscious single ‘Speak’, a string of scheduled recording releases reinforces an exciting chapter for this iconic band.
Bachelor Girl is looking forward to their Caravan Club unplugged show, with the hugely gifted Simon Phillips supporting. Their captivating set will include hit singles 'Buses & Trains', 'Treat Me Good', 'Lucky Me', ‘Permission To Shine’ & 'I’m Just A Girl’, much loved album tracks, classic favourites and heart wrenching, unreleased material. Tania grew up in the Caravan Club neighbourhood of East Bentleigh, and resides in Sweden, so needless to say, this is a home coming show in every sense of the word.
