As part of the WOODEN MUSIC TOUR. THREE great bands, THREE times the fun! YEEEEEHAAAA!
After headlining a sensational show at the Caravan in 2012, The Perch Creek Family Jug band strut their stuff again in 2013, this time sharing the stage with the Quarry Mountain Dead Rats & the Bearded Gypsy Band. Friday 1st of February will be a toe tapping yeeeehaaaa evening of musical delights. Maybe even the dancefloor’ll get a bit of a thumpin!
PERCH CREEK FAMILY JUG BAND: With unique 5 part vocal harmonies Perch Creek Family Jug Band sing and dance their unique blend of original and traditional repertoire, roving from bluegrass, old-time jazz, and country blues to whatever else they may just happen to fancy.
QUARRY MOUNTAIN DEAD RATS: Taking it back to a simpler time, where the pickin’ was fast and the banjo was king, this five piece hailing from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, bring their raw and gritty version of bluegrass kicking and hollering into the modern day. They establish an ‘old mate’ affinity with their audiences while delivering a kick-you-in-the-face live show, setting the tone for a sing along, drink along, foot-stomping good time.
BEARDED GYPSY BAND: The Bearded Gypsy Band compose and perform their own style of eclectic gypsy music with folk, jazz, celtic blues and roots influences. “If you have seen them before then you know what a significant talent they are …If you haven’t seen them before then be prepared to weep at how relatively little you have achieved in your own life” …from a venue manager publicly speaking of The Bearded Gypsy Band.
